Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY Fellowship) iisc | KVPY Exam Form, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Results 2017 | KVPY Aptitude Test
The KVPY fellowship program i.e. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is a program for those candidates who want to make their carrier in field of basic science research. It is initiated and funded by DST (Department of science and technology -India) in the year of 1999. With the help of this scheme KVPY want to get highly motivated, talented, aptitude and intelligent students who are making their future in field of basic science courses and basic science research activities.
In this KVPY scheme there are two types of courses available i.e. KVPY Stream SA, stream SB and Stream SX; and under this scheme the kvpy body give following scholarship during the course completion with contingency grant.

Eligibility KVPY Scheme: KVPY Aptitude Test
Eligibility Stream SA: If you want to apply for
the KVPY stream SA scheme than you should have:
1.
Enrolled in class 11th with science subjects current session;
2.Minimum
of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in 10th level exam (aggregated in
MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects);
3.
After selection candidates must have to to join undergraduate course in
Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.) in the
academic year (next 2 year from current session) after having secured a minimum
of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in 12th board exam (aggregate
in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology)).
Eligibility Stream SX: If you want to apply for the KVPY
stream SX scheme than you should have:
1. Enrolled in class 12th with science subjects current session;
2. Minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in
10th level exam (aggregated in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects);
3. and a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks
in 12th board exam (aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects
(Physics/Chemistry/Biology)).
3. If selected they would be aspiring to join undergraduate
program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology
leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. for the next
coming session.
Eligibility Stream SB: If you want to apply
for the KVPY stream SB scheme than you should have:
1. Enrolled in the 1st year of UG program in basic science
courses like Physics, maths, Chemistry or Biology
in B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. during the current
academic year.
2. a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks
in 12th board exam (aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects
(Physics/Chemistry/Biology)).
3. In the 1st year final examination of
B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. they must secure 60%
(50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks before taking up the fellowship,

How to select : KVPY Selection procedure
After the scrutiny of all submitted KVPY application form with eligibility criteria;
1. Aptitude Test: short listed candidates must have go through an aptitude test which is conducted by KVPY cell in both medium Hindi / English at various exam centers across India in November.
2. Interview: All qualified candidates now take an interview for for final selection in KVPY fellowship program.

How to Fill KVPY Application form:
There are only 3 steps i.e.
Step 1. Registration.
Step 2. Filling personal and academic details, choosing test centre and uploading photo, signature and other certificates as applicable.
Step 3. Payment of application fees (using a credit card/ATM-Debit card/Net Banking or by downloading a e-challan from the application portal.).

- For SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 500

KVPY aptitude test will be Online pattern only at various 54 exam cities.
2.
There are both medium present in KVPY aptitude test i.e. English
as well as Hindi Medium
3.
There are two-part present in the question paper and all
question will be MCQ with 100 marks.
4.
Total time of KVPY online aptitude test is 3 hours.
5. Exam timing: STREAM SA : Forenoon 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Candidates should report at 8:30 AM)
6. STREAM SB/SX : Afternoon 2 PM to 5 PM (Candidates should report at 1 PM)

KVPY Exam Syllabus:
There is no prescribed syllabus of KVPY Aptitude test but all MCQ should be asked from 10th, 11th, 12th and UG 1st year (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.) level subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
