SBI PO Recruitment 2017
SBI PO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidate must have graduation degree in any subject from recognized university; final Sem/year student can also apply. Age should be not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2017 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1987 and not later than 01.04.1996 (both days inclusive); Relaxation on age as per SBI PO recruitment board; see notification.

SBI PO SELECTION PROCEDURE :
Phase-I : Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers
of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.
SBI Po Phase – II: Main Examination:
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive T est for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the
computer. Immediately after completion of Objective T est, Descriptive Test will be administered
(ii) SBI Po Descriptive Test: The Descriptive T est of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a T est of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive T est by securing
passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.
Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
SBI Po Phase – III: Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive T est will be arranged in descending order in each category . Adequate number of candidates in each category , as decided by the Bank will be called for Group and Interview . The qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as Exercises decided by the Bank.
Candidates qualifying for & Interview under 'OBC' category would be required to submit OBC Group Exercises certificate containing the 'Non Creamy layer' clause. Candidates not submitting the OBC certificate containing
the 'Non Creamy layer' clause and requesting to be interviewed under General category will not be entertained.

Bank Job Eligibility: There are many post for graduates candidates who have graduation degree from any recognized institutes (in any discipline); for 10+2 passed candidates also eligible for various banking jobs; some post also reserved for post graduate degree like MBA, MCA, MSc etc. But If you want to appear into the bank then you should have to follow proper channel of Bank recruitment.

History About Banking Sector
of India: As we know that
the first bank came to existence in 18th century i.e. 1770 in India. The name
of Bank is Bank of Hindustan and liquidated in 1829-32. After few years the
General Bank of India, established in 1786 but failed in 1791.
As we also know that the largest bank, and
the oldest still in existence is the State Bank of India i.e. SBI. The name of State
Bank of India came in the year of 1955 after merging various banks. Now there
are many bank running under the RBI regulations i.e. 23 private sector banks,
19 nationalized bank, 6 SBI & its associate banks, 2 public sector banks,
many co-operative banks. More than thousands of crore rupees turn over of all
banks.
