Last Minute Tips to crack JEE Examination

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a nationwide entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This test is conducted for admittance to various institutes providing UG engineering and architecture courses across India.

JEE examination is conducted in two phases, namely JEE  Mains and JEE advanced.  The most important aspect of success in a competitive exam, such as JEE examination is a planned strategy. Students preparing for JEE Mains 2018 needs to have a strategy that can help them to crack the examination in a go. As the JEE exam is nearing, here are the last minute preparation tips that one needs to stick with in order to excel in their examination:

(i) Concentrate on revision rather than studying new topics- This is a crucial time when one needs to revise the topics studied before. Although it is difficult to revise all the topics again, one can do as much as possible. Revise the topics from the notes previously prepared during the time of preparation. It is also advised to the students not to study any new topic at this time, as it could be dangerous for the whole preparation by creating stress or by demotivating them. Also, studying new topics can lead to less time for revision which can have a negative impact on your studies.

(ii) Avoid continuous studying, take breaks- It is instructed to the students to take small breaks while studying. As our mind cannot concentrate on a thing for a long duration, continuous studies can lead to drowsiness as well as can cause lack of concentration. Taking breaks for about 10-15 minutes every 2-3 hours can help to rejuvenate your mind with improved concentration.

(iii) Practice Mock Paper- “Mock is the key to success” as it gives a brief view of types of question that are generally asked in an examination. Practicing mocks will help to boost up your confidence. It helps to determine which question can be solved easily and which question is difficult, so one can follow the same pattern question during examination by leaving difficult ones for the last. This would help you to save a lot of time which can be beneficial in a time-based examination.

(iv) Eat healthier and Take proper rest- During the time of examination, it is of prime importance for students to give proper rest to their body and mind. This will help to be focused during the studies and understand things well.
It is also advised to avoid taking oily fast-food, rather one can intake healthy diet so as to remain fit during the time of examination.
