The CG state take an entrance test for those candidates who want to make their future in Teaching profession. So, in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has declared it essential to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test along with academic and professional qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in class I to VIII. Based on this, the state is going to conduct Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) for the third time. Beore filling the CG TET Form first you have to choose option for Primary or Upper primary or Both Level.After that now have to fill application form of CGTET and feed necessary information like:

CG TET Dates

• CG TET Online form Date : CG TET Form filling Starts: 11 June 2016
• Last date for CG TET Form Submission : 22 June 2016
• Through Bank Challan Payment : 23 June 2016 till 5 PM to 24 June 2016
• CG TET Exam Date : 17 July 2016 Sunday
• Time First Paper 9:15- 11.45 for 1st to 5th standard teachers
• Time Second Paper - 2.15 - 4.45 for 6th to 8th standard teachers

CGTET Eligibility :Exam Applied For Primary (For Teaching in Class I to V) Eligibility

Minimum 50% marks in Higher secondary or equivalent course ( Appered or Passed)
OR DEd with 45 % marks in Higher secondary exam or equivalent
OR Minimum50 % marks in HSC or equivalent and 4 year graduation as BLEd
OR Minimum 50  % Marks in HSC and 2 year diploma in Special education
OR Graduation and Primary education 2 years diploma.

Exam Applied For Upper Primary (For Teaching in Class VI to VIII) Eligibility

(a) Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) Or

Graduation with at least 50% marks and a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)  Or
Graduation with at least 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or
Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 % marks and passed or appearing in final year of four- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and passed or appearing in final year of four-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a one year B.Ed. (Special Education)

2. Language -1 (Hindi) 30 Multiple choice questions 30 marks

3. Language -2 (English) 30 Multiple choice questions 30 marks

Subject-based Exam (Any one from below) 

4. Maths and Science

(For all Maths and Science Teachers) 60 Multiple choice questions 60 marks

5. Social Science teachers

(For all Social Science Teachers)    60 Multiple choice questions 60 marks

*For Any other subject teachers Either 4 or 5

Total 150 Multiple choice questions 150 marks

--> Questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be corect. Each paper will be of two and a half hour duration and a total of 150  questions will be asked. Each question will be of one mark. There will be no negative marking on wrong answers.
3. There will be two papers of the Test. Candidates qualifying the first paper will be eligible for teaching in classes one to five. In the same way, candidates qualifying the second paper will be eligible to teach in
classes 6 to 8th.
 Note –A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (class I to V  and class VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers ( Paper I  and Paper II)
4. All the questions will be asked in two languages (Hindi and English).
5. First language will be Hindi and the second language will be English.
