If you want to face GCET 2017 test then you should have to complete minimum GCET eligibility criteria 2017. There are certain eligibility for GCET 2017 test in terms of nationality, age; education qualification etc. For the professional courses in Goa state the minimum eligibility of GCET are as follows :
As per the rules of government of Goa state, the Indian candidates are eligibile for GCET 2016 exam according to Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under various categories. The NRI (Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport) candidates may also eligible for GCET 2016. Those candidates who are in Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders category they are also eligible for Goa CET 2016 and they got admission through GCET on seats under NRI Category.
Those candidates are eligible who want to take admission into various degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy Allied Health Sciences and Nursing they must have competed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission. There are no age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission into Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture courses.
- GCET Eligibility in terms of Nationality:

- Valiation of Score Card at GCET 2017:
An applicant for Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy,
Homoeopathy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing must have appeared and obtained valid score at the
Goa Common Entrance Test GCET conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission.
GCET score of the previous year/s shall not be valid.For Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses, minimum GCET score should be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category.) aggregate in specified subjects.
No minimum limit is specified for other courses. An applicant for Degree Course in Architecture must have appeared and obtained valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.
- GCET Eligibility Of Qualifying Examination & Minimum
Marks:
If you want to apply for the GCET 2017 then you must have to passed the 10+2 certificate or equivalent Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the CBSE, New Delhi, and they must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects, as prescribed for the admission to respective professional courses, as under. Here we are giving the percentage criteria for specific subject categaries:
a. For the admission into First Year MBBS, BDS, BHMS, AHS & B.Sc. in Nursing courses:
• GCET Eligibility of MBBS, BDS, BHMS & AHS courses
If you want to take admission into MBBS, BDS, BHMS & AHS courses through GCET 2016 then you should have to passed 12th standard Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category for MBBS and BDS Course).--> If you want to take admission into B.Sc. in Nursing then GCET aspirants should have passed HSSC with minimum 50% aggregate marks, as well as secure 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology for General Category, (45% aggregate marks in all subjects for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, as well as min. 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
b. GCET Eligibility of First Year B.E. Courses
The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only).-->
c. GCET Eligibility of First Year B. Pharm. Courses
The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Chemistry with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only). As per Pharmacy Council of India Regulations, candidates passing Senior Secondary School examination conducted by National Open School, New Delhi are not approved/eligible for admissions to B. Pharm.d. GCET Eligibility of First Year B.Arch. Courses:
The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC). OR 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. Applicants scoring minimum 80/200 at NATA will be eligible for admission to B.Arch., provided NATA score is obtained by answering NATA exam before last date of submission of admission form.e. GCET Eligibility of Kashmiri Migrants Only in Engineering Courses:
The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and secured not less than 45% marks in the subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.f. Changes in Eligibility, if any:
In case Medical Council, Dental Council, AICTE, Council of Architecture, Pharmacy Council, Indian Nursing Council, any Court or any other competent authority changes the eligibility conditions/selection procedures and makes it specifically applicable to the admissions of this year, the provisions of the prospectus may be modified accordingly, subject to approval of Government, and the same will be duly notified.g. Admission of Eligible Diploma/B.Sc. Degree holders to First Year of Engineering /Pharmacy Degree Courses:
Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering /B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std XIIth , with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC), shall be eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses, subject to vacancies in First Year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry into Direct Second Year are exhausted. The merit list of such candidates shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored at qualifying exam. Diploma holders in Pharmacy would be eligible for admissions only to First Year of Pharmacy Degree Course under this provision. Vacant seats under this provision shall first be offered to eligible Diploma holders and then to B.Sc. Degree holders. Admissions of such candidates into First Year will be subject to vacant seats available at First Year, after offering all available seats during admission rounds to eligible candidates from Merit List based on GCET.Source: www.dtegoa.gov.in
